// Executive Summary
AGRESTI Biofuels, LLC is organized to process MSW or
other specific cellulosic feed stock material into
saleable materials including ethanol utilizing the
patented GeneSyst process invented by James Titmas.
The following types of wastes can be processed
as-received:
- MSW
- Unsorted waste from paper (including recycled
paper currently being exported for incineration) and
food processing industries
- Consolidated Animal
Feedlot Operations (CAFO) and agricultural residues
- Slaughterhouse/Rendering plant wastes
- Sludge and Septic wastes from Municipal
Wastewater Treatment facilities
- Certain Industrial settling tank sludge
- Yard waste and Composting materials
Aluminum, ferrous metals, organics and glass will be
sorted by a unique, proven liquid-based, technology,
similar to standard wastewater treatment technology
involving gravitational settling, screening, and
hydro-mechanical shredding of organic solids. As
such, the process recaptures the water collected
from wet material and leachate through a closed loop
system eliminating the necessity for high water
usage or aquifer draw down. Captured water is then
treated and reintroduced into the process for a
closed loop system. Organic solids, Paper and other
cellulosic materials will be processed through a
proprietary Gravity Pressure Vessel (GPV) as
marketed by GeneSyst International, Inc. of Hudson,
Ohio. The GPV converts cellulosic material to
glucose, which is fermented to a weak alcohol
solution. This solution is distilled to produce a
solution containing over 98% alcohol. Utilizing
denaturants captured during the sorting and
conditioning process, the alcohol is converted to
ethanol. This ethanol is sold to motor fuel blenders
as a fuel supplement. Recovered aluminum, ferrous
metals and other materials will be sold through
normal scrap industry channels. Besides ethanol,
yeast (sold as an animal feed supplement), furfural
(an industrial solvent), carbon dioxide and other
chemicals can be produced and sold as market
conditions warrant. AGRESTI Biofuels, LLC partners
with Oppenheimer and the Royal Bank of Canada for
corporate financing needs.
